California Personal Injury & Maritime Law Attorney

Richard Bredlau graduated at the top of his class at Pepperdine Law School where he was on the Law Review; and is a UCLA Alumnus. During law school Richard clerked for the United States Attorney in the Civil Division, in United States Federal Court. After training for 5 years in all departments at Ventura County’s largest firm Nordman, Cormany, Hair & Compton he found his calling representing injured people and victims of wrongful death. Richard was then mentored at Heily and Blase, by Dewitt F. “Red” Blase, Ventura County’s most prominent personal injury lawyer for 10 years, learning his craft. After that he was a partner with Worley & Bredlau, LLP specializing in personal injury and wrongful death and has run his own firm since 1999.​

Richard sat as the Mandatory Settlement Judge for the Superior Court of California, Ventura County, settling numerous personal injury matters for the litigants.​

• Richard is currently the President and Board Member of the Ventura County Trial Lawyers Association (VCTLA), an organization dedicated to providing programs and services for trial lawyers in civil practice throughout the county.
• Richard is a Member of ABOTA (American Board of Trial Advocates), a national association of experienced trial lawyers and judges dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the civil jury trial, a right provided by the Seventh Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.
• Richard is a Member of Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles (CAALA). Consumer Attorneys protect people from unsafe products, unsafe medicine, unfair business practices, and unscrupulous, negligent corporate conduct. Through education and training, Consumer Attorneys subscribe to the highest standards of quality legal representation and ethical conduct.
